WHO WE ARE

EAL Who we are.png

Principal and director Natalie Talia is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in Wills and Estates and a Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Prior to working exclusively in this area of private practice, Natalie was a commercial litigator and was employed in the Commercial Court and the Trusts, Equity and Probate List within the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Natalie began her career working at a top-tier firm in Commercial Litigation and Insolvency, gaining litigation experience from the Magistrate’s Court to the High Court.

Natalie then made the move to the Supreme Court of Victoria where she was Senior Associate to the Honourable Justice Robson which involved work in the Commercial Court (Corporations List) and the Court of Appeal.

Natalie developed her passion for this area of the law after earning the inaugural role of the Lawyer assisting the Trusts, Equity and Probate list of the Supreme Court of Victoria. The Supreme Court has supervisory jurisdiction of all trusts and estates in Victoria. That role involved case management of proceedings and applications under the Trustee Act 1958, Administration and Probate Act 1958, the Wills Act 1997, and other trust and equity proceedings.

That experience was so valuable and enjoyable that Natalie decided to practice exclusively in the area of estate administration and litigation in 2016.

Natalie gained Law Insitute of Victoria Specialist accreditation in Wills and Estates in 2020.

Natalie was named in the Doyles Guide as a '2020 Rising Star for Wills, Estates and Succession Planning'. She was one of only 13 Rising Stars selected across Australia for this category. In 2022 Natalie was recognised as a ‘Recommended’ practitioner.
